Myself and sever other furs just moved to the Harrisburg area of PA and there are 7 of us living in the same neighborhood. I started a group back while I lived in VA for the furs in the area so I figured I would do the same here in this area. If you live around the Harrisburg area anywhere nearby please join and help us grow. Hey folks,

I did a minor interface change to the website and made all of the blocks on the right hand site of the page optional. This means that you can control whether the "Recent comments", "Active forum topics", "Who's new", and "Who's online" blocks appear. If you don't like seeing them all the time, you can just turn them off!

To change the available blocks:

1) Make sure you're logged in click the link on the left that says "my account".

2) Click the tab across the top of the page that says "edit"

3) Go down a page or two to where it says "block configuration". If you want to see a block, make sure there is a check in the box next to it, otherwise uncheck the box.

4) Click "submit" at the bottom of the page. Changes will take effect immediately.

I just upgraded the website to Drupal 4.6.4, which fixes some recently reported security issues.

If anyone runs into difficulty posting to the forums or using any other section of the website, please let me know.

Thanks for offering to help test out the website! First thing I need you to do is to create an account. Once you've done that, please try testing out the following things:

• Posting to the forums
• Commenting on other peoples' posts.
• Commenting on random pages on the rest of the site, such as this one.
• Editing your user information through the "my account" link on the left. This includes uploading a picture.

Stuff to keep an eye out for while doing the above:

• Pages that don't render properly.
• Difficulty doing anything, such as making a post or submitting a comment.
• Anything that just doesn't "seem right". For example, if a form doesn't work the way you think it should.

If you run into any problems, please contact me via IM or Email or leave a comment to this post.

Don't worry about stuff that you might post. I will be deleting all of the test posts before the site goes live.

Welcome to the Pennsylvania Furries website! This website was built with the Drupal publishing system. Some reasons that Drupal was chosen over other Content Management Systems include:

• Forums that are integrated with the rest of the website. No need to create a seperate account just to get into the forums.
• The ability to leave comment on nearly any page on the site. Even this one!
• Drupal lets you "promote" any article or forum post to the front page. This is useful when someone announces an upcoming furmeet to give it additional exposure.
• There are some really neat modules available for Drupal that can be used to add more features to the website.
