I get mine for 15 $ and it's a really good quality one, but the friend who made them only make a few at a time. |

Cost may also depend on what species of tail and ears you are getting. If you want big, bushy squirrel tail (I assume), that may cost more than a simple, white cotton tail for a bunny. If you have any ability at sewing, making your own is a good idea. I made myself a cat tail and I put a wire coat hanger in it to make it poseable. . . but it isn't a bushy tail, like a squirrels. Just wanted to let you know that cost may vary. |
Thanksies!

I knew the cost would vary, jus wanted to see an average cost ^^; |

If you want a poseable tail, take apart a coat/lothes hanger. Blunt tip one end (don't want it to poke through the fur) and make a triangle at the other (that is where it will attach to you). Fun fur is usually cheaper in the spring and summer but you should only need a yard - unless you're making a massive tail. Check what you want for measurements. Once you get the tail sewn together add the wire hanger then stuff the batting around it. Wal-Mart has cheap, nonallergenic batting. For the ears, get a headband out of the hair care section and attach fun fur the it. Good luck! If you run into trouble, email me and I'll try to help. (I'm in Central PA - so I don't know if I could visit to assist in the sewing or something. But I can always talk via email!) |
