i agree and i am 19, but i

i agree and i am 19, but i saw some hateful videos and wrote this in response. just to let you know things of an adult nature are discussed in a professional manner and they need to be in order to fully understand and erase the stereotype. The fight for furry Fur is basically the drawing of animals or anthromorphs with human characteristics. This IS and art form, but the debate on that is what I am here to talk about. Most furry art stems from TV shows dating from the first Walt Disney movies to modern Japanese shows. Today there are three branches of this kind of art: 1 furry art depicting non anatomically correct, with a noticeable difference in genders so as not to make the animal kingdom full of neutered high voice creatures. That idea( everyone being neutered) is sadistic to the point is sounds like some sort of radical communist utopian ideal. Having a noticeable difference allows for complex relationships like humans. 2. Anatomically correct furry art which is an extension of the noticeable differences. In is not necessarily for adults; however, it should only be viewed by mature people. This extension simply completes the differences and implies no intercourse whatsoever. 3. is furry erotica or high expressionism where intercourse is depicted. According to my firsthand experience the catagories number the following percentages: 1=65%, 2=15%, 3=25%. The stereotype is of the third category, and only effects those who simply have a love for the art and or self discovery The drawing of furry gives the average person to a chance to make art that can be appreciated and not cast aside because it isn’t as good as Picasso. That and it unites people into a civil social group where the art can be appreciated in a professional manner. Humans are social creatures, these gatherings are no more then family reunions, nit cults. There are no black candles or séances. On a more personal level it allows people to indulge in their recreational fantasies, which is to say instead of watching college foot ball or speeding home to watch prime time TV they do something a little more creative and productive and if the art is good enough it may earn a little more income. Granted there is the stereotype of the person with no life that masturbates nonstop and is a street bum. There probably are people like that and they should seek help, we will get into that point in more detail later. These fantasies build self-esteem and character which sad to say is lacking in the world. There is one bridge I would like to cross before moving on to the deeper issue of the 25%. My psychology professor and also my friend disguised in class one day the aspects of sex changes. is say anything in quotes as paraphrased from him, “ the people who feel they are a woman trapped in a mans body or vice versa sincerely believe it and struggle who these feelings on a daily basis which is why they get the change. It is not a definable disorder by APA( American Psychological Association) standards and there is no treatment if nothing id wrong. Most of the people who get the change whish they didn’t have to and desperately seek a treatment. The only known one is the change itself. It is not like they go get it right off the bat either it takes months of therapy and constant ,”are you sure this is what you want?” ‘s by doctors and psychologists. Eventually they get the change if they still feel they need it.” Now back to furry. In some cases it is like that with fur, they cannot change themselves so they have their suits and make a deeper connection with who or what they wish or think they should be by creating intercourse situations. It is not sick and sadistic, but as I’ve said before…..there is always someone who ruins and gives a bad name to it. And that goes for everything in life not just fur or whatnot. The main concern about the 25% is morality which leads to again three questions: is it right?(ok), is it perverted?, dose it harm anyone in any capacity so as to render them scarred or perverted in any way? All of those questions are really the question of morality, but they are better explained is narrowed down even though it is not much. There is one more question that needs to be answered, is it porn or a stimulant of any capacity. The answer is no. imagination is a wonderful and dangerous thing. The furries engaged in intercourse or simply classification two steam from the mind which means they are already there. Supposing that classification 2 and 3 did not exist the different kinds of creatures would and could still be shared. That means they could also enter the imagination and the imaginer will do what he/she wilt with the images. That being said the 2nd and 3rd categories are rendered void when sex comes to play because people already have the tools aka the human mind and there is no one in the world who dose not have one and dose not engage in sexual thoughts. If there is remind me to bring them some bread and wine and call them Jesus. The 2nd and 3rd categories are simply physical representation of images in the mind which is also the very definition of art….Picasso or not. There is one oddball topic that a hesitate to discuss: homosexuality. Now it is referred to in the bible as wrong… therefore from a religious point of view it is…I am religious…I will admit I have been attracted to that kind of artwork. But my personal beliefs are my own and my personal struggles are my own. I will not impose upon others until I become president. And even then …well that is another discussion. My have referred to viewers of this art or to the art itself as Furfaggs or the Horrors of BlaBla. They are incorrect. Prejudice is something everyone has in one capacity or another whether they know it or not. There should be logic and morality in the world and things should be discussed, just not like a senator where nothing gets done. Instead of ranting and raving, which I have no problem with I do it a lot, generally one should think before he/she speaks although I will admit it is tough, but if you speak on the internet or create hateful videos or pages, they can be undone to a certain extent. I would ask that that be done. After all we don’t shove fur in your face, but if I ever get bitch at by a hater I wouldn’t hesitate to --(stop reading here if you are fragile) slit their fucking through for being ignorant. I carry my work knife everywhere except airports, LOL. The number one rule before making a decision in any context if finding out about both sides, please remember that. If there are problem between, I say this generally, you and us then there should be a place where we can talk about it and attempt to sort out issues and understand each other. That is of course provided you get organized in some capacity |
Bad name, who us furries?
|
Bad name, who us furries? Yeah I know, this is why I have yet to tell anyone outside of the furyr communitte. I believe its' the whole, beastly thing, that gave us our negative image (in terms of perverted). Also (and Im not pointing any fingers) the art that has come out because of our fetishs and such. Yet when you think about it, isn't that like all the other porn out there. As for personal looks and personalities Hahaha, I'm extermly underwieght and not by choice. Also, I am doing something with my life, which is why I am currently enrolled in a university and doing well. |
same here, i have yet to
|
same here, i have yet to tell anyone but my psychology professor talked about fetishisms in class and mentioned the CSI episode that makes us look bad (although i do enjoy yiff, but not just foe sex...i love the fur ya know?) so i am going to e-mail him and suggest he correct himself...the way i see it..since they are not human, but not animal...they are unique and technically undefinable in the natural world. that makes the concept of 'furry' imaginative and therefor nearly impossible to logically criticize. that is why the people who do criticize us all say the same unintelligent and almost immature (namecalling) things. plus furry yiff is sooooo much cleaner and well mannered the porn and such. there is just an entirely better atmosphere.... |
Oooh! You may want to show
|
Oooh! You may want to show your psychology prof this study that was done on furries awhile back: http://www.scribd.com/doc/3830456/Furries-From-A-to-Z-Anthropomorphism-to-Zoomorphism The author can be reached via email, too: kcgerbasiphd (AT) earthlink DOT net. She's pretty cool about answering questions about the study and such. |
You must be blessed by God

You must be blessed by God or something thanks....that survey was very interesting...hell i should have done my report on that instead...thanks |
i got a response from
|
i got a response from him..lol..here I am sorry and didn't mean to offend... I was trying to use that as an example from pop culture... which of course doesn't always get things right.... Even in that episode, I believe they make that distinction.... that the conventions are not sex orgies and that not everyone who dresses up in animal costumes does so for sexual arousal... I only referenced it because the story line about that specific character was involved in frotteurism type behaviors... it is true that frotteurism is a separate issue all together and is irrespective of what clothing or costumes one wears.... the key is when those behaviors are used for sexual pleasure, it would be considered a fetish or paraphilia... possibly part of frottuerism... you are right that not all individuals that participate in activities that seem out of the norm are abnormal, and I did not mean to insinuate that all individuals who participate in such activities were doing so for sexual pleasure.... I know you must have felt uncomfortable about bring it up in class, but I wish you would have so that I could have clarified my reason for using it as an example, much like the pansexual term you mentioned.... I appreciate your feedback and will try to be a little clearer in my examples by indicating the sexual arousal part as being the primary reason for the behavior being abnormal in psychological terms and making sure that I make the distinction that the act itself is not abnormal even though to some it may seem strange... maybe I can even drawing parallels to those that follow Star Trek conventions or Star Wars.... Such as when I discuss that not everyone that gets tattooed is a biker or a rebel and that there are very much extremes of normal behavior that are not abnormal but just different.... I look forward to your response and any further discussion.... he is a nice guy. i'm glad he didn't kick me out of the class...any one have a q i could ask for you? |
well thnx guyz. oh hai Giza,

It's mainly the negative
|
It's mainly the negative media attention that the fandom has got at least that's what I see. The media always want the most exciting story they can get so naturally they focused on certain aspects of the fandom. I don't directly try to help the image of the fandom, I do it more indirectly, I am in the US Army, the PA Army National Guard to be exact and I have even told a lot of my fellow soldiers about what furry is. Most have never heard of it but some have, but they have even told me that they know that the fandom isn't bad. |
thats good, it is about all
|
thats good, it is about all we can do to help educate people on what it really is about. don't get me wrong i like yiff and all that, but it is not something that should be publicized and floundered like people do. then again some take it way too far....as they say.."there is alway someone who ruins it for everyone" |
Hehe, yeah I do believe that
|
Hehe, yeah I do believe that is 'infotainment". But thats the news media for you. |

I don't even follow the
I don't even follow the stereo-type, I'm slim and eat regularly and I just care my friends I make and not about yiffing.
