This is probably a stupid question, but... Would it be okay to post in this Artwork forum commissioned work that other artists have drawn of my character to show what I look like in the furry world? Or should images posted in this forum be restricted to content created by the user posting it? |

If you let this section be a more or less free for all, with few rules, it could become messy. Typicaly I know when artist 'hang' irl, they often share work yes.., but sometimes preferr crits and suggesions as well. This of course depends on the artist. In forums, as I have noticed, in section dedicated to artist types, often you will get mutliple posts of nothing important-disscussion wise, and LOTS of one-picture posts. Personally, I am one of those who -enjoy- disscussions of various art-related topics, as well as seeing other's work and WIPs. Is there anyway of possible 'highlighting' or 'stickying' disscussions posts so they are better veiwable? This way we can have our cake -and- eat it too. But then I'm only one voice of many. |

Yes, discussions can be made sticky. For example, the "rules" post in the General Discussion forum is sticky, so it will always be at the top. I left this particular topic open because I wasn't sure what should really go here. I figured I would let people post and then perhaps actually lay down some rules, or split this into multiple topics, or whatever. |

Hmm... that's a good idea, but I'm not sure that having a page with 50 large pictures loading at once is a good thing. I know that Drupal has some gallery modules, though. I'm going to check into them as time permits and see if maybe I could allow people to post their character pictures into a gallery. I've added this to my TODO list. |

Actualy having a gallery space, then requesting users to simply add a link to the piece in their disscussion topic would be a great idea! Does Drupel have a possible thumbnail feature that can be used along with it? |

Well, Drupal is just a framework that has a bunch of modules. So, do any of the photo gallery modules (I think there's more than one) have support for thumbnails? I don't know yet, but I'll put a blurb to check for that on my TODO list as well. |

I really haven't given that much thought. I was thinking more along the lines of this category being a place where artists can hang out.
If you want to post links to pictures of your character, well, why not?
Note that I have <img> tags turned off for obvious reasons, so you would have to post links.
